Every beginning has an ending, a bittersweet feeling that leaves a mark for a lifetime. And last week, the Shanghai Community International School (SCIS) class of 2022 bid their farewell, and now prepare to depart to distinct parts of the world to begin a new journey.  

This year, our Dragon graduates have been accepted into 96+ top universities from Asia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and all over Europe. Our community is beyond proud to send the class of 2022 to the world of high-level education where they will represent the international mindedness of SCIS.

The Class of 2022 University Acceptance List

Due to the Shanghai lockdown, both Hongqiao and Pudong campuses made sure that our IB DP graduates would be honored and celebrated through an online graduation ceremony. Family, friends, and faculty all made efforts to witness our Class of 2022 receive their diplomas and awards, where tears and smiles were all caught on camera to commemorate this academic achievement.  

 

We would like to applaud our Class of 2022 for challenging themselves, personally and academically, through the IB DP where they have become well-rounded students. Through the IB Programme, our Dragon graduates are ready for reality, ready to make ethical decisions in complex and unpredictable situations.

SCIS Pudong Class of 2022

“The SCIS Pudong class of 2022 is a powerful example of what can be achieved through hard work, determination, and moments of creative inspiration. Among these talented young people is a future physician, a couple of psychologists, a fashion designer, several filmmakers, a fragrance scientist, several engineers, as well as creators, inventors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and artists. Our small but mighty group of twenty graduates represents fourteen nationalities, whose unique cultural backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives have enriched the entire community. They have left a lasting mark on SCIS, and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.”
